Since its inception, Capital International Business Centre (run by Fortune Business Service (HK) Ltd) has been focused on providing comprehensive services to Hong Kong's SMEs. The company was one of the first in the city to receive ISO9002 service quality certification and inaugurated a full service system. In 2000, Fortune Business Service expanded its market to mainland China by setting up CDB Tower - the country's first business centre. This was followed by the strategy of two brands, Capital International in Hong Kong and CFG in mainland China, resulting in rapid growth and more than 180 branches across nine major cities with over 250,000 members. By 2018, CIBC had developed networks on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories respectively with plans to expand them to 15 locations before 2022. Currently situated in Causeway Bay, CIBC houses three units; one private office and two co-working spaces that can house up to four desks each.
